UTC Oxfordshire student, Jack O’Donoghue, has been accepted onto an apprenticeship scheme with Pyrotec Services Ltd.
Jack was one of two apprentices to be offered a position at the company, starting full time in January 2017. The application process mirrored the process of other employees at Pyrotec, as Jack was required to submit a CV and application form before he was invited to interview.
James Gregg, Service Manager at Pyrotec, said: “We are very excited as an organisation to be introducing an apprenticeship scheme and look forward to being able to share our knowledge and experience with our new apprentices. Jack came across during his interview as a well presented, bright and polite young man who had a passion for engineering. For these reasons he seemed an ideal candidate for us and we decided that we were going to offer him one of the two positions.”
